bigblock4-speed Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 Hello everyone! It’s been years ( about 10 years) since I’ve been on here & always fun to look at all the interesting topics. I love vintage kits & im somewhat younger ( sometimes I feel like I’m the only of my kind that’s left in this hobby at 36 years old) but I contribute a lot of my collecting to my late father. He had a lot to do with me being into vintage model car collecting! Love drag racing & collecting old cars & model cars My collection has grown in the past 15 years, and started to be an obsession as I needed to find sealed & mint kits. I’m around 4-5k kits currently in my collection ( no bar code stuff) but always enjoying the hunt! Enjoy restoring stuff & seeing friends restore their original kits- I’ve found a lot of excitement resurrecting kits that are not complete, or restoring rough kits & making them nice again. I go by Vintagemodelcarparts on eBay.. let the roasting.. I guess begin..
Tungen Chiek Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 I've bought from you before. I only live a few miles away from you.
thatz4u Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 nice collection, I've been to your town years ago...
StevenGuthmiller Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 Very good to have you AJ! We share a love for vintage kits. As a matter of fact, that's pretty much all that I've done for the past ten years is to restore old annual kits, and I've bought parts from you on many occasions. It's so good to have someone out there that can help provide hard to find vintage parts for those of us that are addicted to restoring them! I look forward to getting to know you a little better on this great forum. Steve
paul alflen Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 Welcome, i think i bought parts from you at the Kalamazoo show in May or November, last year. You gave me your e-bay selling name! Guys this man is the real deal and has parts galore for sale at a show! He is a good man!!!
hedotwo Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 Welcome! Coincidentally, I'm waiting for the '65 Impala convertible boot I bought from you a few days ago Glad to have you here. Rich
Tom Geiger Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 Welcome to the board! As we are in the post Modelhaus era, your services have become more valuable! Just like with 1:1 cars, some must be sacrificed to restore others. I’d say the only folks who will criticize are those who are jealous they didn’t think of it first!

I too have nothing but praise for individuals who offer parts to those of us that restore vintage plastic. What the naysayers seem to forget is that for every single vintage kit that is parted out, a dozen other incomplete kits might have been saved. They can put that in their pipe and smoke it! Steve
Bills72sj Posted September 26, 2020 Posted September 26, 2020 (edited) Welcome to the forum. I would not be surprised if I have bought from you before. Your stash certainly holds a lot of "holy grail" kits for some of us. Edited September 26, 2020 by Bills72sj
1930fordpickup Posted October 4, 2020 Posted October 4, 2020 Welcome from another person who has purchased parts from you.
