randyc Posted October 10, 2020 Posted October 10, 2020 Here it is. I think the body was started maybe 15 years ago? It's been a long time. I would work on it in fits and starts. Then got completely stalled out. But with the revell lot, gave me more easily built frame. Seems like everything had to be modified at least a little, but that's no big thing right? Not a perfect hot rod, but I like just the way it is. Like a home built car.
Misha Posted October 10, 2020 Posted October 10, 2020 Great to see a long term project completed Tom, congrats. I followed your WIP thread with great interest as it was a challenging project with chopping the top plus the extra interior details you added. I was curious about the above photos as it seems there are raindrops on the body? I hope to follow your example and finish up on some of my decades old projects, cheers Misha
stinkybritches Posted October 10, 2020 Posted October 10, 2020 I really like it, Randy. The different colors work well together. I hope mine turns out half as nice.

I tried to keep car dry, but that one got it and I didn't see it till I posted. Thanks for the compliments
doorsovdoon Posted October 11, 2020 Posted October 11, 2020 Great looking build, it does look like a home built hot rod. Very nice.
tim boyd Posted October 13, 2020 Posted October 13, 2020 Congrats Randy on bringing this one home! I can just imagine flooring the go pedal and hanging on! On my end, will be getting back to finishing mine up after having to stop for another high-priority project which I just finished yesterday....I'll make sure to let you know when mine is done. The two (yours and mine) will share the overall proportions but be very different in the details....that's what makes model car building so fun and creative, and why I so like comparing two models based on the same basic kit. Cheers....TIM

And yes, comparing the two will be cool to see how different builders arrived at the end with two completely different, yet similar builds.
