The QuickAluminum arrived today. It was a lot larger amount than I expected. Thanks again for sharing the information. Your build is looking better every new post.

Hi Mike, you are doing some fantastic work here. Loving watching this come together. So.... I like everything low, my thought is, if you drop it down it may balance the “long” tail? That’s my 2 cents. Look forward to seeing whichever direction you go, it’s a very cool build.

Cheers, Steve

Glad to hear. I hope it serves your needs as well as it has mine.

It can't hurt, right?  While I've been away I did lower it, maybe a scale three inches. I'm reluctant to go too low because I don't see many (era appropriate) classic customs in the weeds the way we see them today. But it definitely can't stay the way it is.

I've also been carving on a bubble top and like what I'm seeing. I Just need more opportunities for bench time and pic posting.

A little update on this...  So I going with a bubble top and I'm using a clear egg ornament. Not being a geometric engineer, it took a few cuts to get it right. Then I added a frame on the rim. I lowered the suspension about 3 scale inches and I think it made a big difference.

Body work around the cockpit to fill gaps and to accept the interior correctly. Most of the work was at the dash for trimming, fitting, filling.

Oh yeah!   that looks fantastic! Are you considering some floating headrests?

If so.... I have had luck making them from the tips of 2 spoons joined together

(also thanks @Tom Geiger That award is one of my most coveted and hangs behind me at work! I'm still amazed at the success of that particular model)

Eric, the spoons are an ingenious idea. Yes, I'm toying with what goes behind the heads. I know the squares I used earlier are out. The spoons would be more complimentary to the dome, so.... hmm.
