Bills72sj Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 I have been mostly a buyer. Model shows with raffles get you a lot of bang for the buck. I spend $40 on tickets and go home with over 10 models some times. With that said, I often end up with a few that I will never build. Of those, I have had good luck selling them on SCALEMATES.com. I just put them in my trading folder with a reasonable price and whenever someone goes to research that kit in their database, it shows that you are selling. You do not even have to post pics. Be advised you will not get a lot of nibbles but the posting does not expire. I ask the buyer to pay the real world shipping with or without insurance at their risk. After a few PM's, they send me the money and I send them the kit. No drama, no fees.
misterNNL Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 Remember that in a lot of places all the hobby shops are closed do to Covid and the internet is some modelers only kit source.

You can always report him as a non paying bidder so you don't get charged for something that you did not get paid for. How was their feedback ? Their feedback was fine. They contacted me and said they are waiting for the bank to transfer the money to PayPal. I do know from using PayPal that it can take up to 7 days for the money to appear in the account. And I guess Ebay is harassing them for not paying. Waiting to see what happened.

I had this happen once as well and I find it irritating that someone would bid on something and not have the funds in place to pay for it when the purchase was made. I wound up blocking that buyer from ever bidding on any of my items again.

I buy small items for my stamp collection from a couple of dealers.. $1-3 items and these dealers encourage you to buy a bunch of stuff, not pay immediately, and they combine and invoice you through the eBay system every two weeks. Of course eBay has other ideas. They relentlessly pester me via email and text messages to pay a friggin dollar invoice!
89AKurt Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 FREE FREE FREE!!! That would unload them really quick. ?

I checked the one guys rating. 100 percent positive. But that's not what the feed back says once I started reading them. Seems he never pays for anything. He should be blocked. But then he will most likely make another bogus account to continue.
