Beau Arthur Posted December 18, 2020 Posted December 18, 2020 I built this truck when I was maybe 10, then blew it up with blackcats and saved some of the pieces for over 20 years. I took this little gluebomb, and gave it a real wood bed and squeezed all the glory out of it I could. I'll put up a build thread if there's some interest...
espo Posted December 18, 2020 Posted December 18, 2020 Don't you wish you knew then what you know now ? Besides being a good line in a song it does describe your trailer well. The weathering details here look great. I like how you got the splits in the wood bed and the crusty finish on the frame and everything else.
mchook Posted December 18, 2020 Posted December 18, 2020 Great job, your weathering is nice. I blew a few up myself as a kid but never saved one to rebuild. Great idea with a great memory from your childhood.

Thank you, this is the most time I've invested into a piece 8 hours ago, mchook said: Great job, your weathering is nice. I blew a few up myself as a kid but never saved one to rebuild. Great idea with a great memory from your childhood. I was fascinated by the effects of explosions and always saved my junk. I had a wooden wine box filled to the brim with pieces and parts from countless kits I built. Going to have a sweet junkyard dio one day LOL
PappyD340 Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 Very nice and great weathering also, well done!
Painted Black Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 That thing is beat!! needs a nice truck to hook to it.
Tom Geiger Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 I like it! I have a dark red one sitting in the corner of my workbench to finish one of these days. Mine started out as a 56 Ford
