I built a model when I was a teenager.  Gave it away when we moved.

It’s just about bedtime, but now I have something to listen to on the road tomorrow. I have seen him in a documentary about the SR-71. He mentioned hitting some pretty high Mach numbers on an operational mission. Possibly after strikes on Libya in 1986. My memory is a bit fuzzy on the dates. 

Btw there is a guy in Europe who is 3D printing a 1/24 scale SR-71. That would be an awesome ceiling hanger.

My favorite part is around 59:50:  "And a 12-year-old is reaching for the mic..."  I could swear he was channeling the late great Sam Kinison at that point in the story.
