tuffone20 Posted February 15, 2021 Posted February 15, 2021 Since I built Bob Reisner’s “The Bathtub” I thought I might as well build the one George Barris did. This was a pretty fun kit to build and went together without any issues and I’m very happy with the way it turned out.
tmb727 Posted February 17, 2021 Posted February 17, 2021 Gotta love the show rods. So goofy. Which is what makes them so cool. Nice job on these two - I bet they add some "pop" to the shelf.
Modelbuilder Mark Posted February 17, 2021 Posted February 17, 2021 Very cool. I built one a few years back, and also enjoyed it.
thomascoffey1959@gmail.com Posted February 18, 2021 Posted February 18, 2021 OHHHH the things you could do with the parts on those babies, oh yeah, shop diorama, imagine,,,a bathtub FUEL altered ! I'm sorry, I can't help it. I remember as a lil' kid, seeing one of those,, I remember being blinded by the BRASSS! IT WAS AWESOME ! Thanks for the trip back to the 70s. I gotta get one of those, or both. I think u might be on to something with the straight out of the box not even paint,,,,theme. thank you.
thomascoffey1959@gmail.com Posted February 18, 2021 Posted February 18, 2021 After a closer look,, ,your builds look better than the box art. I gotta go,,,, there will be a run on these !
iBorg Posted February 18, 2021 Posted February 18, 2021 And just to scare you.....it was a real thing (sorry can't call it a car) http://www.barris.com/carsgallery/noveltyproduct/bathtubbuggy.php
Spottedlaurel Posted February 18, 2021 Posted February 18, 2021 Very silly, but nicely built. They brought a smile to my face.
doorsovdoon Posted February 20, 2021 Posted February 20, 2021 Those builds are squeaky clean! xD These things look wild, I love them!
