Don't know if there has been any threads on here about how to design and build a pro mod or drag car chassis/frames.

As a relative novice with basically only  OOB builds, I'd kinda like to dive into this type of project.

Also, maybe there are after-market suppliers of frames  but I can't find any.

Any help will of course be appreciated.

My advice would be to buy one of the Revell Monogram Pro Sportsman or Pro Stock kits. They're great kits and you can learn a lot about the chassis layout etc. Building a Pro Mod chassis from scratch is quite the task for even a seasoned builder. Best to learn how to swim before jumping in the deep end.

I concur. Find a race car kit and bash away.

Thanks guy's, makes sense.  But how do I know what will fit the body I may use..

Get one with a wheelbase similar to the car you plan to build.

Specs for WB can be had through online search.

There are other things to consider such as track width, which is how wide the car is from tire to tire centerline but usually you can change wheels to make up for that.

If you know the kit you want to use just post another inquiry to the group. Someone has tried everything out there! Good luck.
