Vettegasser Posted March 3, 2021 Posted March 3, 2021 So been rolling this idea around for a bit. Gathering parts and all 1/12 revell torch chopper monogram 1/12 57 Chevy slicks and cragars and mpc shaker trike springer Lay it on me what u guys think
bisc63 Posted March 4, 2021 Posted March 4, 2021 Need to see more! Trikes are getting a lot of attention these days, it seems.
iBorg Posted March 4, 2021 Posted March 4, 2021 I like where this is going..... Scroll down for one of the most famous trikes of the 70's. https://selvedgeyard.com/2010/03/25/buddy-miles-the-band-of-gypsys-funky-badass-mother-drummer/
Vettegasser Posted March 4, 2021 Author Posted March 4, 2021 Yea Buddy’s trike is cool trying to stick with late 60s early 70s look for this
Vettegasser Posted April 26, 2021 Author Posted April 26, 2021 Been playing around with this between other builds Decided to go with the bigger front wheel and tire gettin the rear axle sorted and rear brakes setup decided to go with the longer tank Comments welcomed some times extra eyes gives better ideas 1
bisc63 Posted April 26, 2021 Posted April 26, 2021 Improved. Very nicely proportioned. I'd like to see more engine in there. Appears to be a lot of space.
James2 Posted April 26, 2021 Posted April 26, 2021 I like what your doing here. The 21" front wheel looks better, but a smaller tank, like a Sportster style might make things appear better. Exile Motorcycle built by Russel Mitchell. 1
Vettegasser Posted April 26, 2021 Author Posted April 26, 2021 Ok how bout this tank maybe reduce the height of it a bit
Vettegasser Posted April 27, 2021 Author Posted April 27, 2021 (edited) Leaning towards something like this only with a springer Edited April 27, 2021 by Vettegasser
Modlbldr Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 Yeah, I like the look of the smaller tank. I think lowering the height of the tank would give it a better look. I'm enjoying building the bike kits that I have. I may have to convert one to a trike myself. Later-
Vettegasser Posted May 31, 2021 Author Posted May 31, 2021 Been playing around with this. Bent up a set of handle bars added some more to engine on the tank I liked the look of both so I combined them took the short fat one and added the tail piece from the long one 1
Nosferatu Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 This is looking really nice. I like the springer front a lot.. Maybe you can drop the front of the tank a little bit. I've been wanting to build a trike also.
Vettegasser Posted December 10, 2021 Author Posted December 10, 2021 Not yet still playin around with it I moved the rear axle forward and lowered the rear some went back with the smaller front tire just gives it that more 70s vibe I was aiming for
NYLIBUD Posted March 5, 2022 Posted March 5, 2022 Cool, reminds me of the metal master Ian Roussel’s 70s trike he built on his show,Full Custom Garage…Yours looks great, excellent job.
Vettegasser Posted March 6, 2022 Author Posted March 6, 2022 Thanks all I been picking at it. Nothing noteworthy to post. Been trying to work out some sort of body or just do a king queen seat. Been drawing up stuff and cutting in paper to see if I can come up with something I like
