Pro Street Johan 1966 Marlin info needed

Many years ago in one of the main car model magazines was an article about a Pro Street 1966 Johan Marlin build. I  searched the web but could not find it. If anyone here can point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated.

I don't remember any feature articles, something like that would stick out in my mind.  Maybe there was a picture of one in coverage of some contest?

Hmm, was it turquoise, possibly? I think there was a Pro Street themed issue of SAE in the early '90s, IIRC. I'll see if I still have that issue, and page through the others from that era.

I do remember the author/builder remarking on how people would think him crazy to build such a rare kit like he did. I do not remember it being on the cover, but there was an article.

I don't think that is the one. IIRC it was much cleaner and more detailed of a build than this one. I could be mistaken,  it has been many years ago, and my memory is a bit hazy to say the least.

I looked through my back issues of SAE, and no longer have the Pro Street themed issue (I thought) I remembered, so I don't think I'll be of much help Sam, sorry.

For some reason I was thinking it was in Car Modeler magazine, but I could very well be wrong. 

I do remember 3 or 4 years ago seeing a 1:1 pro touring Marlin in one of the real hot rod rags.

Sam there is indeed a Pro Street Marlin in the October 1991 SAE “Tubs” issue.  There is currently an auction of 2 SAR issues including this one on eBay.  I will try to post a link to the auction if I can figure out how!
