While sitting here ,waiting for the paint to dry on Dah  Grump's Vega. Thinkin'bout what's next,,,,, bouncing around looking for inspiration, I see a post for 65 plymouth,,,,. Dah Grump ran a 65 plymouth  in 65. Hmmmm. That milktrike looks cool, all of those kits look very intriguing, all the possibilities,,,, even for a 70's style show rod ? HMMM.  Hot rods,,, I've got a FEW, on the shelf of doom,  and many more in my stash, waiting for me to find a renewed interest. From "T"s n A's  to B's and sso on.    Then there's the mopars,,  I've got a 41 Plymouth, modern street machine almost done, maybe I'll finish that, or the stock version, maybe the 77 monte,or the 58 bisc. the 69 corva,,, THE Duesnburgh hearse, no, no,. Watching a thread for a custom 49 merc. has got me wanting to saw, slice, dice, and splice,  Hmmmm.  NO KIT IS SAFE

I see this thread is going nowhere,  but, I've gotten back to the 58 chevy with the poor paint job and worse repaint. I did some minor detailing to the interior, but not to the common standard I've seen on this sight. I've got the "glass", the interior in, and the chassis completed. I still need to finish up the  63 z16 427 engine, going to go black as a Jenkins performance unit, duel quads on an  aluminum intake etc. body color steel wheels, early retread cheater slicks for the aging, early to mid 60s blvrd. brawler look .sorry no pics. as yet.

Ha!

I have a 59 Elcamino,  60 sedan delivery, 46 panel, Gremlin, 60 falcon, 55 Chevy panel....all on the bench.  I also traded for 23 cars, 14 of which are complete, and I can't figure out which one to strip down and build first. I also have a 66 Novamino calling my name as well as a Falcon modified...and that is just off the top of my head.

New meds are really kicking in.  ?

Waiting for paint to dry gets me in trouble, especially if it’s a ‘good’ paint day ( no dust, paint layed down nice), this normally leads to painting several bodies, which then sit around because something else caught my attention while those were drying , haha......

I’m desperately trying to push a few projects towards the finish line.

My Red Chariot was my 24 Hour Build but I wasn’t happy because when I glued the interior side panels into the body shell, the clothes pins in used to secure it while drying dug into the not totally dry exterior Tamiya red.  That led down the road to no good... I think I messed it up worse than it was!

There are others on the bench that are frustrating me for one reason or another..   as Tarik says, “Time to find another house to flip!”

I have the same issue. I got the decals this weekend for my 69 GTO and a set of stock front seats for my 63 Mercury Meteor. So, come Monday it is back to work on getting those finished up.

Then, as most of you saw, I got a huge stash of stuff that had a 57 Chevy and a Revell Chopper that are both calling to me to be finished.

Waiting for paint to dry or parts to arrive in the mail is usually what allows the squirrels access to my hobby area and cause all kinds of happy havoc!

I just threw a coat of tamiya black on the engine for the 58 chevy. While I was waiting for the paint to dry, I picked up the body, and a couple of permanent markers, and did some detail rusting to coincide with the "old" dull paint. I used a "magic eraser" to blend the orange and brown marker into the Tamiya TS sand body color. HAH !  whaddya know, it worked! It looks like minor surface rust. This TOAD I've been wrestling with is becoming something that might even be presentable.
