cobraman Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 Some critics look down their noses on this line of Cobra kits . I will have to agree that they are not the best and are not without problems . I honestly don’t believe they are as bad as some would have you believe . Look at these pics . Does it look like a Cobra . My workmanship may not be the best but for me , it looks ok . I tried to copy the best I could on the photos I posted . I made the two front splitters with sheet plastic as well as the rear diffuser under the rear of the body . I cut down the windshield and frame . The body is painted with Tamiya Pearl White and Tamiya red and green stripes . Body was then cleared . Tire decals from Gofer were used . Do not match photo of real car but I could not find any . I made ( for the first time ) a hinge for the trunk because none is included in the kit . It is clumsy and oversize but the next one will be better . Hope you like it and are not yet sick of seeing Cobras !
cobraman Posted May 1, 2021 Author Posted May 1, 2021 Color in my pics is off . Hope this one is better . It is a bright white .
Ralph Henderson Posted May 2, 2021 Posted May 2, 2021 Nice job Ray. I've ridden in a 427. I cannot IMAGINE going 201. wow....
Rich Chernosky Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Ray...I will never get tired of seeing Cobra's...especially yours. And I totally agree with you on the Fujimi kit. I have built two of them and was pleased with the result.
Peter Lombardo Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Looks pretty darn good to me. It is a shame the striping paint blead a bit. but short of that, it looks real nice. I have built a number of the Fujimi kits as well as a number of the Revell kits. My only hang-up with the Fujimi kit is the wheel height. I lowered the ride height on my builds and it looks better to me. Well done.
