Both of those will also result in a grainy finish. Slow down and spray closer. just be aware that if you’re using a hot lacquer such as Duplicolor, you need to be cognisant that too heavy of an initial coat can craze the plastic without adequate primer to seal it, so it’s a bit of a tight rope act. slusher Posted September 20, 2021 Share Posted September 20, 2021 If it was mine I would paint it Tamiya semi gloss or get a good smooth grey or white primer and clear it with future. bobthehobbyguy Posted September 26, 2021 Share Posted September 26, 2021 I would recommend getting some speed shapes for working on your painting technique. They would save having to strip a project.
