Thanks David!  I need to make tit to a hobby shop that has a better selection of Sci-Fi spacecraft than Hobby Lobby does as I’m stick on what to do for propulsion and can’t really plan an interior when I don’t know what’s going to happen under the car yet.  I have decided that the openings in the fenders would make great steering thruster ports, been debating about looking for some AMT Parts Pack Injector Stacks for that job though.

I even thought that either sticking a figure or two with it as a display once done would be fun too.  Maybe look for a figure that might look like a young Ed Roth from when he was in the military and an appropriately sized figure of the alien Paul from the movie of that name with the working title/name of “Earthlings built my Spaceship” since I seem to remember seeing somewhere Roth claimed he was at one time on UFO lookout in an Alaskan AFB and in the movie story line, Paul is one of the Roswell, NM crash aliens and IIRC, the only survivor of the crash, basically a “What If” build around the claim and that movie since the time periods line up surprisingly well.

The other though was one with Ferb and Vanessa from “Phineas and Ferb” and calling it “My Ride from Outter Space” loosely based on the “The Chronicles of Meep episode where Ferb “fixed” Meep’s shuttle after it crashed to Earth then took it for a test drive montage that became the video clip below.

I can see the similarities with the car in the car in the video. It's a cool video, the song reminds me of Blast Off by the Stray Cats. And the young lady must have had more sturdy clothing than the two kids. ;)

Great ideas!

Well, she is kinda Goth, so she may have been in black leather!

Oh, it a different HL

than normal and found a couple of these, think I can use the engines for the main thrusters on the Bubble Top!

Ok, got some time after dinner to play with the Bubble Top, looks like both YF-23 kits will be donating the part of their fuselages where the engines sit for this, think I’m going to modify the parts of those fuse’s I’m using for the aft portion and then use sheet styrene to make the bottom from the wheel openings back to that and get rid of the cockpit bumps while I’m at it.

Fun stuff! Liking the use of the small scale plane for parts. The Harrier jet ( any scale) is another great source of good sci-fi greeblies, especially the rotating nozzles.

I dug the space ship ‘57 out the other night, this is where it is right now, got an actual mounting surface for the top all set up, though I want to get some vinyl tape to cover the glass while filling the areas I got carried away with the Dremel.

Man, I couldn't be happier than to see you back on this project! I even went back and watched that Phineas and Ferb video clip to stir up some good vibes.

Thanks to you too! I’m going to have to go back and watch that video again now too:lol:

I’ve found recently that Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh from  Phineas and Ferb as well as Milo Murphy’s Law is on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, maybe I’ll tag them at some point as this particular build progresses since they were 2/3 of the writing team on it!

Thanks David, I think I needed to clear my mind some on this one, again, I'm thinking that week of going nuts on that Ecto-1 kit based Limo may have helped with that!

Ok, did some more work on it after work today, made shelves for the top to sit on and span the gap between the body and interior assembly as well as started to fix some of the areas where I ground off too much with my Dremel to fit the bubble to the car.
