For anyone lucky enough to own this kit: Please give the part number marked on the underside of the hood.

Note that this is request for the part number marked on the hood. Not the part number on the instruction sheet.

It's marked 1/24, but it looks OK alongside 1/25 models.

I haven't measured it, but there's a possibility the scaling isn't entirely accurate, as the engine is close to the size of 1/25 Ford flatheads.

I think I missed this one in my many model builds of the late 1950's and 1960's to early 70's.. Whatever the scale I like it. The internet isn't exactly flooded with these things I notice. But I'll keep my eyes open and check ebay now and then.

If we are talking about the louvered hood it is 98 or 86 depending on how you look at it. But there is a line under 98

The number stamped into the non-louvred hood of my original kit is "86."  On the parts list it's Part Number C86 ("C" meaning "Body Color Plastic," which is turquoise). 

Here's a scan of the parts layout.  A previous owner added the hand-written notes.

Mine's in a case which isn't the easiest to get in to, but it's very likely I sanded off the number anyways. Here it is next to a 1/25 Chevy.

Ah, now i see that i'm on the wrong track. The hood i have is molded in a grayish blue but unlike the Mono 1940 Ford PU hood, mine has half of a hinge device molded in/on to the trailing edge of the hood.

Back to the drawing board.
