cobraman Posted November 11, 2021 Posted November 11, 2021 I must admit that I really wasn’t going to build this . I had two left over body pieces from working on the long nose drag car I am working on . Once I molded the two pieces together I thought why not ? Just a flat pan chassis and there will not be a engine . Parts are coming from the parts box . It is painted with Tamiya gloss black but not cleared yet . Snake had a interesting idea to use a dune buggy chassis under it but I didn’t want to put money into this build . This will be done with left overs . 1
Gramps46 Posted November 13, 2021 Posted November 13, 2021 I believe collectively we can find you a therapist who can help you with the tendencies you have been exhibiting lately. ?
Zippi Posted November 13, 2021 Posted November 13, 2021 Nice looking. The wheels and tires look just right. That Tamiya black looks pretty slick. Once you hit it with some clear (I'm assumining TS-13) and get it polished that will look like glass.
cobraman Posted November 13, 2021 Author Posted November 13, 2021 Thanks fellows. Bob, clear will be my new favorite... Duplicolor 1K clear. Gary, I have sought help and was told there is no hope. All the ink blots looked like Cobras.
cobraman Posted November 15, 2021 Author Posted November 15, 2021 Car dropped. Paint messed up. Back to the start.
Rich Chernosky Posted November 15, 2021 Posted November 15, 2021 Ray..talk to me about Duplicolor 1K clear. I have been using Splash 2K clear with some good results but its expensive and tedious to order. How is it available and what is the mix ratio. Is it foolproof or at the whim of the paint gods, as per usual. That's a cool project BTW and don't listen to anybody. You don't need help, you need encouragement. ...Rich
cobraman Posted November 15, 2021 Author Posted November 15, 2021 No mix. Point and shoot. I buy it on Amazon. Shows now about 22 bucks but I don't recall paying that much . Probably cheaper elsewhere.
