Now that I found these wheel/tire sets last night, I'm toying with ideas.

I'm thinking metallic blue for the Ford, some kind of orange for the GMC. ?

Nice to see some Off Roaders in the works Mike! Are those Super swamper Boggers in the bottom left corner? Where from?  I’ve been looking for a source. Are you doing airbrushing or rattle cans?

Hi Mike, maybe hugger orange and white for the GM? They also look great in red in my opinion. Metallic blue should look great on the Ford.

Rattle can. I never did advance to the airbrush. I got them off of ebay many years ago and had forgotten that I had gotten so many sets. I found them in a poorly lit shelf on my bench (desk). I remember they looked to me like the old Monster Mudders from the 70s and had to have them. I used to hound my dad to put them on everything with 4 wheel drive we ever owned. He was like "are you crazy?" ? We had a cool spot where I grew up where people would all be 4 wheeling back in the woods and we would ride our motorcycles back there. Free ride era. I'll see if I can find a picture.

Oh! The Boggers are from so real. I'll have to get a better picture.

Are they still around? I googled but didn’t come up with anything.?

I'm pretty sure they stopped making them long ago. There was a time when them and Ground Hawgs were the only options out there for really oversized tires. I remember the Dick Cepek catalog. You could could get all those off road goodies in that one. My dad used to be like " If you had to pay for just one of those tires, you would never talk about them again ". Eventually, he was right as always. ?

I'm pretty sure they got replaced by the Boggers and such simply because of superior design and chemical technology .

Search For "Gumbo Monster Mudders" I found these pics. Some of these were way over the top big. I can remember they had an awful lot of sidewall.

I think Pegasus may now own the molds to the So Real wheels and tires. I saw a set of the wheels on the new Moebius Ford 4×4.

Opps. I thought he was asking about the Mudders.

It is the boggers that I would like to find in 1/25 scale. Would you happen to know the O.D. of those?
Thanks, Greg.

Around 20mm. The 8 spoke wagon wheels from the 1/20 Ford van kit fit them perfectly . Same as the larger Formula Desert Dogs. I don't know if I can part with them. I've been waiting for a 1/18 diecast truck to come out that I would like to use them on. I think I might have seen some on ebay that sellers have cast in resin.

Oh wait! You need the outside diameter?

Yes, the outside diameter. 1-3/4” would be 44” in 1/25 scale, and that is a touch bigger than I would like. I found a set on e-bay for $75. + shipping.☹️
