MrObsessive Posted December 10, 2021 Author Posted December 10, 2021 (edited) Thanks everyone for the nice words! It's good to finish something "normal" after a number of the big scale stuff I've done this year (I've built others I haven't posted here yet), and now I get to really zero in on the Shelby Green Hornet that's been languishing for a couple years now. Down the road, I'm going to attempt the same type of "rescue" with a '58 Studebaker Golden Hawk I built many years ago, but got wrecked by one of my cats about 20 years ago. I got a junker Danbury Mint diecast of a '57 Hawk (never thought that looked correct) and I'd like to use some of its interior and some other bits and pieces and make mine a '57. I have a few pics of it shown here........a number of body changes on it I'll need to do to make it a bit more accurate while I'm at it. Edited December 10, 2021 by MrObsessive Correcting HTML link
blunc Posted December 12, 2021 Posted December 12, 2021 that is a beaut! 50's fords were my first love, hope to see this at the next Desert Scale Classic.
TransAmMike Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 Very nice work Bill, great engine and engine compartment detail?
Peter Lombardo Posted December 14, 2021 Posted December 14, 2021 Like everyone is saying, great build. Some times, it just takes persistence and determination to cross the finish line. Well, you got there. Nice work. Growing up, early on my dad had a black '56 Fairlane so I always prefer the slight differences in the details of the '56 over the '55, but the "55 is far more rare in the model world. Well done. And glad you finished it.
Dodge Driver Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 That is certainly a fabulous Ford, Bill. Much time can be spent absorbing the fine detail of your builds. Always a pleasure seeing your models.
