The engine in Monogram's 1/24 scale '53 Bel Air kit would be easier to backdate to appear as a '39 engine, if that's what you want to do, as it has a single carb as stock (the Corvette has three side-drafts). There were many releases in different boxings, and it's still common.

Pretty sure I have a '53 Corvette kit if you are interested in a trade.

Is the six in the 1/25 36 Chevy a lot smaller in the Monogram kit? It's definitely more in the era.

I presume they are a tad bit smaller but would like to see a Monogram six first.

The six-cylinder engine found in the Galaxy '46 to '48 Chevrolet kits might be one to consider. This kit has the correct shape for the Valve cover, Side Cover, the Manifolds as well as the Carburetor and Air Cleaner. These are all separate parts as well as the Road Draft Tube and the Distributer. The kits also include optional 3x2 Carb. setup and finned aluminum Valve Cover and Side Cover.

Are those kits hard to find, all I found on Ebay were over 40 dollars…

They’re pretty common, half the members here probably have one. Maybe offer a trade in the trade section.
