DRIPTROIT 71 Posted February 12, 2022 Author Posted February 12, 2022 Thanks Tom and Gary! I will post more bed pictures as it comes along. Push bar assembly is about ready. 2

slusher Posted February 13, 2022 Posted February 13, 2022 I see you have done some more great work! Is the push bar complete?

DRIPTROIT 71 Posted February 17, 2022 Author Posted February 17, 2022 Getting closer to the finish line.
4mula1fan Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 Nice! You can almost hear the 903. It made a distinctive racket.
Dutzie Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 The pusher truck looks awesome Brian. Great work!
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted February 18, 2022 Author Posted February 18, 2022 Thanks Brian and AJ!! I close to done except for some weathering and figuring out how to replicate the concrete for the bed. 1
slusher Posted February 18, 2022 Posted February 18, 2022 it looks so great do you, have to weather it?
Mopar - D Posted February 18, 2022 Posted February 18, 2022 Looks excellent Brian! I’m with Carl on the weathering in a lot of the reference pictures the truck looks clean. For your concrete you could use tile grout.

You are right Dan, these are about the only clean CF trucks that you find pictures of. Weathering will very light and mostly chassis.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted February 19, 2022 Author Posted February 19, 2022 This one is pretty much done. It was my first experience experimenting with snow in scale. 4
Petriedish Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 Try casting a thin layer plaster of paris for concrete and when dry, break it up with a hammer. Bent up pieces of paper clips can work as rebar reinforcement. Really nice work on the pusher, and a very cool subject. Not something you see every day.

I used a Woodland Scenes version of plaster for the concrete. It turned out pretty good, then it ended up with snow on it.
Mopar - D Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 Looks awesome Brian! Here’s a couple more ideas for you to think about maybe add a guard rail on one side to let you know it’s a snow covered road and maybe some snow on the front of the cab like in your reference picture.

Thanks Dan! I was a little afraid to over do it on the snow. There is a little snow on the cab, but nothing like the picture of the 1:1. I may experiment some more when I do the outside shots.
tbill Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 You’ve done it again, what a cool looking build, and loaded with detail. The snow is a nice touch, really sells it.
Dutzie Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 Dude!! That looks spectacular! The attention to detail is perfect!
gotnitro? Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 Excellent work Love the details, including the tire chains and snow.
