Nope...shouldn't be too difficult though.  Toughest part will be finding a convertible boot that fits the body and looks like it belongs.

Great ideas!  Thanks!  I'm going to try the Tim Boyd top chop, and if I fail, I'll try and recover with the convertible conversion.

I've thought about it.

One thing to consider,, what to do with the tulip panel between the trunk lid and back window? It raises up to meet the window with sharp creases at the sides. 

I think IF I was to do one, I'd do it with a hinged sheet metal panel between the trunk lid and rear seat like a '60s Thunderbird or Lincoln.

Ha, I did try his top chop, and now I'm thinking of turning it into a roadster. It has nothing to do with Tim's method, just my rushed execution.
