tbill Posted January 30, 2022 Author Posted January 30, 2022 Thanks guys. Just put the last coat of clear on the cab a bit ago, put it in the dehydrator to speed the cure time so I can detail the door handles and window gaskets on the sleeper top either later tonight, or in the morning. Got the cab lights detailed, black washed the grill and detailed the tail lamps and signal lamps on the mirrors. Soon as the cab is cured, I can get back to hauling freight on this.
tbill Posted January 30, 2022 Author Posted January 30, 2022 Think I’m about done for today, made very good progress in around 9 hours time. Still have to decal the other side and add a few more bits, but it’ll be finished in plenty of time ( I think, lol)
tbill Posted January 30, 2022 Author Posted January 30, 2022 Ok, it’s 7:20 am, got a bit of sleep last night , about to decal this side….
tbill Posted January 30, 2022 Author Posted January 30, 2022 Calling it done, was a fun little project. Figure I’ve got around 10-11 hours into it, so obviously not my best work, but it’ll look good on the shelf. To those of you that have been watching, thanks for looking in. 2
Jim B Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 Really looks great. Another one in the books, or on the shelf as the case may be.
Mopar - D Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 Excellent build Tom! Let us know how you do in your contest.
Rockford Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 24hr build with a power outage! Impressive. Looking good too!
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 Beautiful build! Hard to believe you pulled it off so fast. Very nice work!
tbill Posted February 3, 2022 Author Posted February 3, 2022 Thanks all, I picked a snap kit for a reason, haha. To be honest, I’d like to do another one in this color scheme, but spend quality time on it and really do it up nice. If you’ve never tried a 24 hour build, give it a shot, get some buddies involved , it’s a lot of fun.
