Yes working on the big stuff. Mark and I are taking a trip to Shelby American in March to meet up with Liam White of Agora models. Here is a pic of the hood scoop. Color sanding and polishing the whole car tomorrow. Had to see what the finish might look like and could not wait. So I polished the scoop and am pleased. 2

Timonator Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 Nice ! I wonder if one of thise would work on a plastic model without burning it.

Brudda Posted February 17, 2022 Author Posted February 17, 2022 Have the chassis under the body. I’m not pleased how the side pipes fit. Have to model/ modify the exhaust. I want the sidepipes to be closer to the body and even. Going to be real picky on this. Not pleased with the rear tire/ wheel placement to the body. Need to modify the rear suspension and make a spacer to set the tire/ wheel closer to the body . Since I built the model factory hiro 1/12 cobra, I want this stance to be just like the mfh kit. 2

Talked to my buddy Mick, he knows 427 cobras real well. He knows people at the Colorado cobra museum. Mick said the rear wheel/ tire position is pretty good, wide hipped cobras always had a issue with tire wheel. So I may leave this alone.
MrObsessive Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 That is lookin' absolutely terrific Bruce! In regards to the rear wheels, all the original Big Block Cobra's I've ever seen, seem to have those wheels tucked in somewhat. I too thought that the side pipes stuck out just a wee bit too far, but then I ran across a pic where I saw a Cobra that had the same positioned pipes. ?♂️ I didn't want to go through the hassle of re-threading screws and messing something up, so I left it alone.

Thank you Bill. I will leave the rear end alone
Brudda Posted February 18, 2022 Author Posted February 18, 2022 I am pleased with the sidepipes . A little work but worth it. Just painted the inner aprons/ shields silver. 1

Mark and I are comming to the NNL west . We cannot wait to have lunch with you Chris. It will be a great event. Mark is bringing a lot of stuff. Our friend Steve cannot make it but we are bringing his DeAgostini Ferrari. He detailed it and it rocks! I’m bringing the 1/12 Ferrari P4 and the 1/12 cobra and a few 1/8 stuff. The cobra, Supersnake and the ford GT if I get the parts on time. Cannot wait!
