Phildaupho
Absolutely excellent model and photography. I have an unbuilt kit but also the Tamiya 1/12 assembled diecast. Yours is equally nice.

Details of the darker parts are crisper and more visible on the black glossy base pictures. Thank you, Pierre! On 2/8/2022 at 8:35 AM, slusher said: Absolutely beautiful and so cleanly built.. I built this kit a long time ago and recall it being trouble free. Hasegawa are usually very good kits. Thanks, Tony, the black base and background are my attempt at being artsy-fartsy…lol. I have built a couple of the Hasegawa race cars and have really enjoyed them. On 2/8/2022 at 12:21 PM, Gramps46 said: Super nice and clean build. I appreciate it, Gary! Beautiful & nicely depicted🤠👍 I take this as high praise coming from someone with your talent! I appreciate it! On 2/8/2022 at 3:50 PM, Hans1971 said: This is a pleasure to look at. You wrote there is little detail in this kit. To me it is not a disadvantage. You could focus to much on the details and start to make everything messy. After all, the general look should be ok. Mission perfectly completed ! Thanks for the kind words, Hans! On 2/8/2022 at 10:24 PM, 4mula1fan said: Very nice! Great job! With a name like that, I’ll take it! I need to tackle one of my more modern F1 cars. I have always loved these old cigar cars.

I more kits than I’ll ever be able to build but I would love to get these last two built. 2 hours ago, 1959scudetto said: Very nice and clean build - I would be happy if mine will turn out half as good! Dave72
Very nice build and photography! A vintage F1 car is on my bucket list to build some day! Model car that is! I had my eye on the 1/20 Ebbro Lotus 49. Thought that one looked pretty cool. Now the kit you have built is right up there as well!

The built up examples I have seen are great. This little Hasegawa kit is a good fitting kit but doesn’t have a lot of detail. A nice shelf model in my opinion. I am going to enter it in an IPMS show in the morning. We’ll see how it goes.

My hopes for good results are hanging on two Tamiya kits I've done. The Spirit of America Porsche 956 and the Honda Takata Dome NSX, both have been posted here. It is interesting to see how the judges judge models.

Even going as far as looking at how the lighting in the room shined in certain areas of the judging tables. Fun times. Some day I’ll get back into showing! My brother in law and I always went to shows together but he stopped building so we stopped going to shows.
classic
Lovely build and a great little model kit. Like you say, simple but very effective, especially when photographed so well. I wish Hasegawa would kit some more GP/F1 cars of this era. Atb, Steve.

tmathew1us
excellent model. Currently working on the 1:20 Tamiya version of this subject. As an aside, sort of drives me crazy as to why the Japanese companies each come out with several kits of the same subject. Would have been nicer if instead of Hasegawa repeating something Tamiya had already done, if they had come up with a unique subject. How many Skyline GT-Rs do we need?
