conchan Posted February 27, 2022 Posted February 27, 2022 Here is my first model after a short break from the hobby. Hands are shakier and eyesight is poorer, but really enjoyed building this Honda Fit/Jazz from Tamiya. There is more orange peel than I’d like and the glass is a major train wreck, but overall I am happy with the results. Still a long, long long way to go to get near the rest of you, I know, but it will be a fun journey. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Stay safe and enjoy! P.S. Diorama was made by the wife. 3
bisc63 Posted February 27, 2022 Posted February 27, 2022 Neat little car, and a good build considering a 45 year pause! Very nice display, too. Welcome back to the hobby!
Sandboarder Posted February 27, 2022 Posted February 27, 2022 Looks good!! You have captured some great details, those tail lights look 1:1!!
crazyjim Posted February 27, 2022 Posted February 27, 2022 Cute little bugger and welcome back to building. Very nice dio too.

Welcome back to the hobby! Thank you. The display was the wife’s build, so I can’t take any credit for that. Forgot a lot of things and am trying to learn the latest tricks but it wi will be fun.

Erik Smith Posted February 28, 2022 Posted February 28, 2022 Nice nerd car! I built one a few years back and all the black trim on the “glass” is a job in itself.

Thanks! Yes, the "glass" was the most difficult part of the build other than my inexperienced paint job.
happy grumpy Posted February 28, 2022 Posted February 28, 2022 Nice job on the honda. I build that kit some years ago when I got my Honda fit 2007 from my dad when he passed away. I still have the car. The kit is nicely detailed but I agree, the glass requires some work. You build looks pretty nice in that setting. The most important part is that you have fun building it. ??

Bainford Posted March 2, 2022 Posted March 2, 2022 Nice work, Conrad. It's a great start. Jumping back in after all that time, the learning curve will be steep. Each build is just practice for the next one. Well done.

But I will keep at as it is a very enjoyable hobby. and I need the practice. Thanks again!
