Autoquiz 548 - Finished

Sorry for changing the car of the quiz. Unfortunately the previous car was was part of Autoquiz #178. Restart of Autoquiz 548

 

The rules for the Autoquiz and One-Off Build Quiz  are

• No answers allow in the ongoing Auto quiz thread
• No comments  in the ongoing Auto quiz thread that give any clues or suggestion to the car in question
• A PM must be sent to the one who has started the ongoing thread 
• The PM must contain Year of production, Manufacturer and Type
• In case of violating the rules  the quiz will closed immediately and no winners will be announced

So please stick with the rules and don't ignore them.

First of all an apology. I'm sorry for changing the subject of this quiz and for my absence in the last weeks. I was involved in setting up and being part of the staff of the Ford Club booth at the Techno Classica 2022 in Essen/Germany. 

Back to the quiz and the solution.

The car is a Auto Union 1000 SP it is also called the Poor-Man's Thunderbird. The SP stands for Special . The SP was based on the Auto Union 1000 Sedan. Which has a completly different body style.  The coupe was build from 1958 - 1965. In 1961 a  roadster joined the coupe. The 1000 SP is powered by a 3 cylinder 2 stroke engine..

 

There was one guy who said it is a Auto Union 1000 which is wrong, because the 1000 was a sedan. The correct answer were sent in by
