Khils Posted March 25, 2022 Posted March 25, 2022 Doug always seems catch the BEST of of every facet!! 2
Jantrix Posted March 26, 2022 Posted March 26, 2022 I've known Tim for years, hitting many of the same Florida contests. He's a top shelf builder and a nice guy. 1
espo Posted March 26, 2022 Posted March 26, 2022 I remember now when this was in that magazine. With this background information of how it came about and the builder, I think I better appreciate what all it must have been to create this model. 1
jaymcminn Posted March 26, 2022 Posted March 26, 2022 One of the seminal model customs of the '90s. Every line just so. She still looks amazing almost 30 years later! 1
OldNYJim Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 I love these videos so much, and loved learning more about this build Anyone else peeking behind @TimKustomin the interview to see what he’s working on? ? 2
bobthehobbyguy Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 Great video. That is a very cool model. I remember it. A good design for a car has no bad angles. Matching the angle of the hood and trunk to the side trim is pure genius. 1
TimKustom Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 Thanks for the nice comments! Doug is certianly near the top of my “muse chain” and when he reached out wanting to do an interview about that model I was truly flattered. 22 hours ago, CabDriver said: I love these videos so much, and loved learning more about this build Anyone else peeking behind @TimKustomin the interview to see what he’s working on? ? Let’s just say this ’57 Thunderbird MS/P (gasser) just taunts me since I started it back in 2014. I work on it, get distracted, finish 3 other models, get motivated to get it a little more further along, then repeat that process. Probably one of the major reasons I’m not too good at WIP threads. Speaking of getting distracted, Doug said something to me in the interview, which of course got me inspired to start another project (like I need one of those, LOL). Could turn out to be one of my most radical models to date. Hopefully I won’t get distracted, but... I probably will. ? Glad you all enjoyed the video and thanks to all of you for being an inspiration! 5
