Not sure where I want to go with this one.  Maybe a weekend drag racer.  I have the parts to make a Shelby version and so far I’ve only found one picture of a real car of what I’ve envisioned.  The wheelbase will be stock but perhaps I will put in a roll cage and perhaps a 427 engine and see what decals I can come up with from the parts box.  Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome.

From what I have read A/FX Mustangs reverted to stock wheelbase length in '66.

I like the Quarter Horse.

Maybe someone will do a decal sheet.  This one would be cool too but I would have to switch hoods.

That is a real sweet Mustang!  You should build the quarter horse ? so you don’t have too change hoods…

Perhaps someone will do decals for it with the AMT kit coming out later this year.  I’ve blown my decal budget on several builds this year.

I agree with Mike on the hood scoop. Even if you staid with a small block Ford engine, the scoop would alow you to do a high-rise carb setup or even some FI stacks.
