chris coller Posted June 9, 2022 Posted June 9, 2022 (edited) One of my many project ls in progress. This will be Rickie Smith's Firebird circa 1989 I believe. As most of yiu know the stance on these kits are horrendous. I cut the tubs and the rear tires to get a better ride height. I will have to adjust the rear suspension to make this work. It will be a semi detailed build. Engine detail some interior detail Edited September 28, 2022 by chris coller Update
catpack68 Posted June 9, 2022 Posted June 9, 2022 (edited) Looking forward to seeing this one finished up.Are you having the decals custom made? Edited June 9, 2022 by catpack68

chris coller Posted June 14, 2022 Author Posted June 14, 2022 Here's a small update. Got some paint work done. The engine is a wash due to getting the "correct" Pontiac power plant for the build. The headers will be staying though. I purchased a Super Stock magazine on eBay for reference. I'm going to attempt to get it as close to the pics as I can. Finding good reference for pro stock builds seems to be a chore
Zen Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 Looking good! What all do you do to get the lower stance on these cars? Are front spindles modified? Also, where did you get the decals from?

chris coller Posted June 30, 2022 Author Posted June 30, 2022 Got the body cleared and set it in the sun to help speed up the current progress. Got my work cut out fo me as I gotta get some elbow grease involved. Needs some serious polishing done. Hope I can get it to look like the hood

GoatGuy Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 Chris, I really like this build. The details, window net and paint look RIGHT !! Not that I'm an expert on Pro Stock. I have 3 PS cars started. Who knows when they'll get done. Keep the updates coming. Dave
