fireguy14 Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 Classic Monogram curbside kit, originally created as a hardbody slot car. Had started it years back, and right after priming the body left it sitting too close to a clamp on work light. Had enough radiant heat that the rear deck warped and tire humps melted down. Took a while, but finally got another one. Cut out the sides of interior tub to resemble actual car. Added PE + masking tape seat belts. Could not find a PE shifter gate, so crudely drew one on with a Sharpie. Worked on the dash to attempt to get steering wheel more centered. Aluminum tube exhaust pipes. And added wire wheels n tires from Ferdinand Pinto of Spain. They are incredible! Thanks for checking it out! 4
Pierre Rivard Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 Very nice. I'd love to build one of these someday. Your mods add a lot of realism to this basic kit.
Kolu Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 Very nice , the care taken on the interior, the wheels and the paint finish all add to a nice model .
Ace-Garageguy Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 Looks great. I'll be starting a restoration of a gluebomb one of these shortly, and your build here is certainly inspiring.
Gramps46 Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 Very well done. I like how you opened up the door panels in the interior. Really makes a difference.

Old Coyote Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 Wow Dave, you've been busy. Another beautiful build.
1959scudetto Posted September 10, 2022 Posted September 10, 2022 Very nice model, David - the interior changes really pay off well (might take the same approach, as I have it in my stash, too) - just a question: are the exhaust pipes really that long?
Phildaupho Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 Fabulous. The whole package looks gorgeous but the wheels are the icing on the cake.
