Great job on the windshield. Don't know if you have any plans for the headlights. What I have done with some of the older kits with the chromed headlights being part of the grill is to brush paint the lenses with some chrome silver paint. This will give some contrast from the surrounding kit chrome. Depending on how it looks you can then use some clear paint over that depending on how it all looks to you.

Good idea David. I was looking at them and how hokey they appear. And was wondering what could be done with them. Do know of any examples I can use as a reference?

I don't have any that I can access right now. If you have any of the chrome spruce left, you could experiment on that to see how it looks to you. I have seen other builders here that have drilled out the headlight and used some old clear lenses also. There is always the risk of ruining the grill assembly with this type of work, but that would be up to you as to how confident you feel on doing that.

I've drilled out the lenses before on a 64 Impala and replaced them with clear lenses and was not happy with the result. I would like to see an example of what you did though with the silver and clear paint

I have one that I did a few years ago. This is the reissue of the Ranchero kit. Hard to see but hope you can get the general idea.

I've also done it using a very small bit of acrylic white mixed into some Future floor polish. About a 1:5 ratio. Barely want to tint it white otherwise it doesn't look good.
