NOBLNG Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 (edited) My only build of the summer. It’s a nice little kit!? I opened the grill and added some home made disc brakes and some wheels and tires from the parts box. Other than that it is OOB. Edited September 6, 2022 by NOBLNG 3
AMT68 Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 Looks great. And nice work detailing the grill and those tricky wheel openings. The detailing on the Camaro scripts also looks excellent.
TransAmMike Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 Well Greg, Very cool and great looking Yenko. I like those brick walls and the ground in the pics. Where did you get those?
kelson Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 How did you open the grill?a dremel or using various sandpaper grits?.

That is only my second or third attempt with the “foil under paint” technique. I’m real happy with how it turned out.? That is just a three sided box and some craft paper from Micheals. On 9/6/2022 at 5:52 PM, kelson said: How did you open the grill?a dremel or using various sandpaper grits?. I made a fixture to hold it flat and used a file until the backside was tissue paper thin. Then I trimmed them out with the point of a hobby knife. Edited September 8, 2022 by NOBLNG 3
DanL Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 Great great build... paint is spot on even from ultra close. Really excellent
espo Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 Beautiful looking Camaro. The Hugger Orange color looks best on the '69-year model. I like how you detailed the grill as it adds a lot to the look of the front end.
Slotto Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 Super clean Camaro. That grille technique is awesome. I've done that with a Dremel before but your way looks much less stressful.
slusher Posted September 9, 2022 Posted September 9, 2022 Absolutely gorgeous Camaro, Greg! You really do some nice work.
