The early C3’s I really like the styling. When I was a kid I drew that car on all of my school books. Love your restoration. Great job! 1
Slotto Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 Damn it! That color is beautiful! Love this transformation Great idea for the snaps! I've seen ppl use them in low riders under seats to make them swivel. 1
Danno Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 Very nice work! And, that is my favorite hue of blue. Most excellent. 1
Slotto Posted October 9, 2022 Posted October 9, 2022 It's been a while since we got an update...cant wait to see more
Whosurdaddy209 Posted October 14, 2022 Author Posted October 14, 2022 Sorry for the long delay I’ve been a bit under the weather for the last week or so. But I did manage to make a new paint rack?, I’ll have an update on the corvette in the next day or so. 4
Whosurdaddy209 Posted October 14, 2022 Author Posted October 14, 2022 I have got most of the suspension painted, still working on the final details for the rear and I need to make the front coil springs. 5
slusher Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 Chassis looks great! Fantastic looking paint rack! 1
Whosurdaddy209 Posted October 16, 2022 Author Posted October 16, 2022 Got 90% of the front suspension done, still have to install the sway bar, I got the coil springs built and put the green tag on them, along with the shocks. Now just letting the glue set before I go any farther. 4
David G. Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 The chassis is coming together quite nicely. I love all the little details you're adding. David G. 1
Whosurdaddy209 Posted October 19, 2022 Author Posted October 19, 2022 I got the rear suspension about done still have to do the brakes, I found that 3/16 nickel plated washers make very good dust shields on these solid wheel backs, just have to make some caliper backs and finish the brake lines. 4

Along with a new seat and some 69 door panels, the car already had a 69 dash so I just sanded away the radio and touched up a few glue spots. The steering wheel is photoetch with a wood rim made from a popsicle stick. I used blue embossing powder for the carpet and a push pin for the shifter. I also painted the frame while I was at it, I used the same blue for the overspray on the bottom. Love the carpet treatment. I haven't had much luck sourcing embossing powders. Where did you get yours? 1

Where did you get yours? I got a few from hobby lobby, and I ordered a bunch of odd colors from rangerink.com. I’m still trying to figure out the best glue to use, Elmer’s white glue works okay, just the powder flakes off if you handle it to much tho, gorilla wood glue holds strong but is shiny. I think I’m going to try mixing gorilla glue with some water base dull coat next time. The Cuda is ranger copper brown and the corvette is ranger royal blue, 2

Bills72sj Posted October 20, 2022 Posted October 20, 2022 The detail and quality of you build is superb. Nice touch with the snaps. 1
Whosurdaddy209 Posted October 24, 2022 Author Posted October 24, 2022 I finally got the body recleared after having to touch up the burn. The frame and firewall are complete, just waiting for the body to cure then it’s time for final assembly. The finish line is in sight for this one.?? 3
Whosurdaddy209 Posted October 27, 2022 Author Posted October 27, 2022 I’m calling this one complete, the blue is a bit darker than my original target, but I’m pretty happy with the results. 4
Dragline Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 Not a "Vette" guy but that first side shot made me gasp a bit. Very well done and a save worthy of the effort 1
XYHARRY Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 Great save Anthony. Your detail work is spot on and blue on blue looks great on this build. Cheers, David. ?? 1
David G. Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 Spectacular work! Everything looks spot-on. David G. 1
