oldcarfan
I've been gradually collecting kits to do original Cannonball cars and one that's eluded me is the 1974 Trans Am that was on this Car and Driver cover. Ideally I'm hoping to find a front end and decals that will fit the 1/24th Monogram/RevellTA, but the MPC one is a backup choice. Fat Brian
I'd like one of these for the Monogram kit as well, and the SD hood.
steveracer
I would go for a front end and rear bumper/fascia as well. The one in the kit is so wrong, it would be nice to get a good 70 to 73 front end with grilles as well. Are these available anywhere? oldcarfan
Something that occurred to me, are Monogram's 1/24th 1970 and 1977 Trans Ams the same kit with different front ends or are they totally different? Anyone know?

Anyone know? The '70 was originally the kit below, which is a completely different, separate kit then the often reissued '77.
kelson
Otaki did this years ago it's simplified, but you could kitbash it with the 70'T/A for a decent build

The Otaki body has some weird proportion issues, so I just cut the nose and tail off and grafted them to the Monogram body. Because they were simple kits designed to be motorized, they were pretty cheap back then.....A quick glance at eBay shows that might not be true today. Oh well... Where do you sell that '75 front end?
Can-Con
The '75 would get you really close for the front end, Gary. The only difference between it and the '74 is where the signal lights are. ,, now, the only other thing would be that back window.

sfhess
The 74 turn signal locations are a good place to mount driving lights on a 75.
