AMT 77 Ford Coca-Cola Van

This is my completed Coke van painted with Tamiya TS86 Pure Red, white primer on the roof and cleared with TS13 clear. I cut the side door open and the inside is painted Pearl Yellow. The box wheels are terrible as I pretty much ruined them cutting off the spruces so found some Revell wheels that fit the red line tires pretty well. Pretty happy with how the door surgery turned out. This is my third Coca-Cola build and I’m really enjoying them, next up will probably be the Dodge D50 mini truck. By the way I haven’t had a soda of any type for over 6 years since my heart attack.Thanks for looking and all comments are welcomed.

Great looking paint job. This looks like something Coke would have used for promotional use, too nice for actual work. Like the idea of opening the interior up and doing the logo on the inside.

I actually have a device like that and use it occasionally. Also buy a lot of flavored carbonated waters.

Very sharp Econoline.... Paint job looks great. Rattle can or airbrush? Also cutting the side door was a nice touch to add detail. Is the door glued in place open? I have the 77 cruising van issue in my stash.

Thanks Mathew. I used the Tamiya rattle cans for the paint and the door is just held in place with tape. The cruising van is a nice kit also but I did have a some trouble with the decals.

Cool. I either use rattle cans or my 250 badger airbrush. That looks sharp another nice old econo! I can understand how the decals mite be tough. You did a good job though and paint job looks great. Like the Mustang rims to.
