Hi All,

Here is my version of MPC's 1/25th 1978 Dodge D100. I built it as a Northern Michigan beater that's still earning her keep as firewood hauler. Craft paints were used for the main colors, which was applied over Vallejo rust paints. Chipping was achieved with the salt technique as well as sanding through the paint. Toothpicks and needles were used to simulate finer scratches.

Thank you for looking.

Cheers,

Albert

Great looking patina. Very realistic looking with a little rust thru on here and there. I like the way you did the front bumper.

My king of build, real workhorse, dirt ,grime and rust. Very nice weathering, Always liked that dodge pick up gen. The wood in the back is a real nice touch as the missing hub cap. Very nice work on the old dodge.

Hi Albert!

You have done an outstanding job with this model.  I am usually not a big fan of weathered models as a lot of them are a bit "overdone".  This model made me pause and look it over...several times...as it is quite realistic and believable.  Two thumbs up!

Great weathering job on this old workhorse.  One thing I noticed is what appears to be a somewhat nose high, lower rear-end stance which would be right for a truck with a load of firewood.  Very nice build.

Albert, just WOW! I'm convinced it must be 10 times harder to make a build look weathered than to just make it showroom new - - - and you are obviously a master at the technique. Well done Sir!
