In the Feb. 2018 issue of Scale Auto, Tim list some ideas for building a Beach Racer (T.R.O.G.) Coupe, I had aN AMT 32 Roadster so I used it. Tim's example was shiny...mine is well used on the beach..

I used parts from AMT & Revell 32 Ford kits & an AMT 49 Mercury......comments welcome....

Very cool. I would love to have a 1:1 TROG racer to take that spin on the beach!

Unfortunately when we showed to for TROG this year, this is all that was there!   They had to pull the plug due to Hurricane Ian!

Al...glad to hear that article provided some inspiration.  Gotta say, 98% of all TROG race cars would show the "as used" appearance of yours vs. the probably unrealistic pristine finish of my project!  Way to go and thanks for sharing....

Tom....that image is so sad.  Hope they have the financial resources to cover losses and show up again next year....TIM

Looks like it would right at home at a T.R.O.G. event.

David, that was the idea, wanted it to look realistic

Cool looker their Al.   The patina is perfectly done.  Great job?

Mike, glad you liked it...old, used, & rusty is the look I was going for...?

Wow, the rusty look is so perfect on your model, I'd have to get a tetanus shot before I'd touch it! Well done :)

Emry, thanks...it does look SLIGHTLY rusty...

Tom, a lot of things were ruined by Ian...

Tim, I used Google to find photos of TROG racers, most looked used like mine.....
