Has anybody had any experience with the Roth Metal Flake and Candy paints ?

I wonder if this is his son, the reason I wonder is that Roth's son has been on Ian's show on TV. This last week Ian built a Trike and the young Roth showed up with some spry cans he is marketing with the big flake paint.

Yes this is Dennis Roth, Ed's son. I met him and his mother at a car show years ago. I actually have a T Shirt sign by them

While I have not used those paints I feel like I should mention that "metal flake" implies large metallic flakes in the paint.  Those will likely look *WAY* out of scale on a 1:25 model car.  That is something that to  me destroys the realistic look of a model.  Some Testors metallic paints (not even considered "metal flake" paints) have large metallic particles which look really weird on a model.  This oversize flakes problem really shows up in photos of a model (not so much when viewed in-person).  But of course it doesn't bother some modelers.

There are some YouTube Videos with him and he seems a little way out there, that Acorn didn't fall to far from the tree.

You can't help but think he's trying, almost too hard, to be his father. His products may be interesting for a 1:1 project, but out of scale for what we're doing here.

The show Custom Garage just used some of his metal flake on one of Ian's wild VWtrike. I went to the website and it seemed kit prices were between 50 and 70 bucks. As been said the flake may be too large but I am interested in the pearls.  I may buy a kit after the holiday. If so I will give a report.
