Sidney Schwartz Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Like all my efforts, a modest one. I'm pretty pleased with how it came out...some of my skills seem to be improving. This style Pontiac has been one of my all-time favorites since it was introduced. The kit is a simple one, but well done. Molded in detail is very good, and so is the parts fit. Didn't really need to fiddle with it. Thanks for looking. 5
happy grumpy Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Great looking build. Great color too. Fine detail trim in the interior. Nice work.
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Red and fast and a big 421 engine!
Sidney Schwartz Posted January 24, 2023 Author Posted January 24, 2023 Thanks. I was impressed with this kit and will be looking for another one.
doorsovdoon Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Nice looking build. Love the mid 60's Bonnevilles and the Catalinas, I just love the styling on these.
AMT68 Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Very nice build and the paint shines nicely. I've built a few of these and they certainly assemble with ease.
espo Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Great looking paint work and the contrasting interior looks good.
Sidney Schwartz Posted January 25, 2023 Author Posted January 25, 2023 Forgot to mention that the paint is Tamiya Mica Red. Very nice. I painted the chrome headlights white. Was that an improvement, or should I have left them alone? I'm undecided myself.
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 I think that the white paint adds contrast and realism. In the past I would get old unbuilt kits and try different types of white; Flat, Semi Gloss and Gloss. I think I had the best result with semi gloss.
