speedy5963 Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 Good looking build, I just finished one of these recently, definitely had its struggles, believe the coil might be molded into the firewall if I recall correctly.
David G. Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 It's a shame that the green wouldn't work for you, I thought it was a cool color. I'm sure whatever you come up will be great. You've already had one happy accident with this set... David G.
ModelcarJR Posted February 13, 2023 Author Posted February 13, 2023 Thanks, David, Paul, and David! I appreciate your comments! I don't know what I'm going to do with the 69 yet. Waiting for the paint to come off and then I'll decide. Started a Mustang but screwed up the paint on it too. Maybe start something else.

I was trying to use the white ones and tucking the front of the long stripe on the hood inside the hood edge and it ripped. I couldn't fix it so I then used the silver ones. I didn't try to use the Micro Sol this time and I think that helped but it took me all day to get these decals on. But I think I like the silver ones better with this blue. I also managed to get the left wing window re-installed with the kit piece. Since the interior is in, it will sit on top of the door panel better while gluing it in to the A pillar. I drilled out the molded in headlights and added clear lenses. The taillights are one piece chrome that have to be painted with Stop Light Red. So here are some photos. No engine photos as I don't want to disturb the decals at the moment. Thanks for looking! ? Those silver stripes are a great touch by accident ,John!
mustang1989 Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 I REALLY like how Camaro #1 turned out JR! That color is just perfect and you got such a good shine on it. Hated to see that you had to ditch the fan on the engine that you put in the car but I did look at it thinking that it stuck out just a wee bit too far. Glad it all worked out. As for the green car. Really sorry to see that the color didn't work out but am looking forward to seeing what you come up with on it.
ModelcarJR Posted February 16, 2023 Author Posted February 16, 2023 Thanks, Carl and Joe! I appreciate your comments! I did manage to get the fan installed. I hung the fan shroud on the fan when I installed the engine and then glued the shroud to the radiator after the engine glue had dried.
