I am gathering supplies to do my next OOB project and am stumped on paint.

It is a 2020 Toyota 86 in a pearl British Racing Green.

I have a can of the Tamiya Racing Green spray paint (TS-43) but it is not a pearl and is off shade by just a bit.

Do any of you fine Gentlemen (or Ladies if any) know of a pearl green that may be closer? Is there a pearl top coat I can use that doesn't have 1" scale metal flakes in it?

Any suggestions at all would be very welcome.

Model Master did a British Racing Green that was metallic. Nice colour, though I've not shot it myself. Unfortunately the MM paint line is discontinued, but some paints are still kicking around, and might be found through the usual sources.

That looks perfect! Let the quest begin. I am not hopeful though.

A 1:1 colour that looks very much like what you are looking for is Lotus Racing Green (LRG) as used on the Elise and Evora. Sources such as Gravity, Splash, or Zero paints may offer some options for this colour.

Outstanding. And I can even get it. I knew you guys would come through. I would never have looked that up in a million years.

DupliColor makes a clear in their 1K line that is pearl..... Maybe if you have trouble obtaining a pearl paint like you want, you could just shoot the pearl clear over a solid green. I use the 1K ultra gloss, but haven't tried the pearl clear, yet. It's a really good clear, and it comes in the big aerosol can, so it lasts a while.....

That was sort of the direction I thought I would have to go. I still may pick up a can of the clear pearl for other projects.

I saw that but my car colour is not on thier list of what can be done (you enter it into a search engine for the manufacturer) and if it was it then it has to get shipped to Canada from the UK. As it turns out their Canadian distributer for the stock colours is about a 45 minute drive from my work. That lotus stock colour looks like it is exactly what I am after. I like to go just a hair lighter than the real colour for models as it suits the scale look much truer.

Yeah i was gonna mention zero paints, but someone beat me to it.  That's your best option, but it is gonna be a bit pricey ordering from hiroboy.com that's where i get all my zero paints from.  They do require a clear coat though preferably 2K, but any clear would do.
