This is the second of this kit that I've finished. When I posted the first one, someone commented that this kit is a "dumpster fire". I can't disagree. Although to be fair it's probably typical of kits made in the '50's. Three piece body, three piece tub, two-part plastic tires, generally poor parts fit, and the body has more dimples than a Shirley Temple movie. And pretty much everything that can go wrong did with this build. This version of the kit was the same as the first one, but the decal sheet was missing or never included.

Heres a link to the first one I did...

I think I actually like the first one better, maybe because of the nice decals. In any case, I think I'll just concede defeat and not build any more of these. ?

Great looking paint work and the chrome trim. I remember your first build as well, different color but also looks great.

Look what you did, you took a challenging kit and with your skills turned it Into a front row keeper, those one piece bodies are easy ? thanks for sharing ?

Everything you've said about this kit is correct but it's such a great looking car that who cares , when built carefully it always looks great !  Very well done Sidney !

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. Building this is definitely a skills builder.  ?

Some fun facts: The real car had as an option a bar (liquor) in the dash, and a phonograph in the drop-down front seat arm rest...

And I just noticed...seat belts! You certainly want to be safe as you're careening drunkenly down the road while trying to put a record on. And don't forget the pedestrian skewering bumpers. I dub it the "Deathmobile." ?
