pontiac.maniac Posted March 10, 2023 Posted March 10, 2023 Hi everyone, I've built a few glue bombs and a few decent glue bombs in the past. Looking to build my skills and learn tips and tricks here to improve my skills in the hobby a scale models. Mainly into drag cars and Nascar 1/24 and 1/25 scale. Would like to eventually start with small scratch building of parts. (Never attempted a part of any sort before.) Also think that a big rig or tractor trailer wouldn't be out of the question. Thanks for adding me to the forums and the great community of scale models here. Adam
Dave Van Posted March 10, 2023 Posted March 10, 2023 WELCOME! I am not to far near Snow shoe........nice to see more model car guys from WV. There is a model show 3/18 in Charleston FYI........
Nacho Z Posted March 10, 2023 Posted March 10, 2023 Welcome, Adam! I’m a transplant to WV but have been here for 35 years. I’m up in Fairmont. There is a good chance that I’m going to the show that Dave Van just mentioned. Let me know if you would like some details about it.
pontiac.maniac Posted March 10, 2023 Author Posted March 10, 2023 Thanks to everyone that has visited my post and for the ones that have replied. Dave, I really appreciate the offer on the show and some details about it would be awesome! Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend the show in person. Snowshoe isn't that far you're right about that. Nice to have fellow modelers close by! Nacho, also appreciate your comment and offer of the upcoming show. Wish I were able to attend and meet people into scale modeling. No better way to learn. Street Rod, thanks for the comments as well! It's nice to be surrounded by such a welcoming community of people.
