This is the Strato-models resin kit. Everything else is from the parts box. Freightliner rails with various crossmembers, Cummins from my bag of leftover AMT engines, no donor kit for this one. This was inspired by a picture of a Carolina Autocar DC 100 that I found on line. If anyone knows the difference between a 1940s DC 75 and a DC100, please chime in.

Wow, this is total customization here!

Unfortunately, I don't have knowledge to help you anything in this, but I am just so impress that you are building this with authority!  :)

That's a nice looking casting.  Did you open the doors or did it come with them cast seperately?

Thanks Warren! It came with the doors separate.

Hey, Brian.  Give us your take on the overall quality of the cab casting.  It looks clean from here but a bit on the heavy side.

Charles, the casting quality on this is second to none. It is completely clean. It may look heavy around the windshield, but it has photo etched windshield frames. The cab and the doors are detailed inside and out and the thickness of the casting is probably pretty close to the thickness of the actual truck cab. The hood sides are brass with vents in them. It comes with photo etch emblems, dash, grille and wiper blades. To my eyes, the fenders do look just a bit off, but reference pictures are so few it is hard to tell, and it would look better with 24” tires instead of 22”. If money allowed and I had access to order, I would try to get everything that Strato makes. I bought this one second hand and unfortunately I think that they only sell on Facebook, and I don’t Facebook.

Thanks for the comments guys!!
