I'm really pleased with how this came out. I was intending it to be green and ivory. The ivory paint turned out to be more of a yellow, but I decided to keep it. This is a really exceptional kit. Very detailed, lots of parts (some really tiny), and superb parts fit. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design...pretty much every part is keyed to where it fits so that it's nearly impossible to put it together wrong. Naturally it would not be a Sidney build if I didn't lose at least one part...in this case the VW logo that goes on the hood. I'm planning on getting another one of these sometime and painting it in ladybug colors...red with big black polka dots. The wife will love it. ?

Thanks for looking.

That is absolutely beautiful! I love the two-tone. I'm guessing that's the "California Wheels" kit, that's still available at Hobby Lobby? I agree 100% with you on the quality of this kit. It practically falls together, because it's so well engineered. I built mine "Carolina Blue" just like the box pic, and it won 3rd place in the Import Category, at an IPMS show earlier this year.

Really nice bug and I agree this kit is well engineered. I have built several of those. My only gripe about it is the wheels, they could have done better especially with all the effort that went in designing the kit. I like the two tone combo you went for. It sure looks the part.

Yes, that's the one.
