Pierre Rivard Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 Beautiful paint and the decals all seem to have held up well. The clear appears to be at a mid point between gloss and satin, which is spot on for a period race car.
Mattilacken Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 Epic kit and you are doing a great job on it! I haven’t tried the LP clear but bought som for the same reason as you. And I must say that I am pleased with the LP series paints overall and they are good priced as well in my opinion. Bought MR hobby leveling thinner to try with the LP paints next.

I'm really enjoying the LP line also. The next time I use the clear it will be with Gunze MLT. Benn working on sub-assemblies in preparation of joining the body and chassis. Doors are finished. Firewall is also ready to go. And I have a working gas cap. 3
Bainford Posted October 22, 2024 Posted October 22, 2024 Glad to see this build back on. Everything is looking fantastic. The sliding windows are mind blowing. Very nice work.
2whl Posted November 9, 2024 Author Posted November 9, 2024 Thank you Trevor It's been awhile , so time for another update. With the clearcote done, I started adding details to the rear end and front bonnet. With that done, it was time to mate the chassis and the body. 9
Pierre Rivard Posted November 9, 2024 Posted November 9, 2024 The big scale offers so many opportunities for adding a lot of detailing elements but requires the builder to have the skills to execute. It is without a doubt the case here. Fabulous work Mr. Cadwell. 1
David G. Posted November 17, 2024 Posted November 17, 2024 I just love all the detail you're putting into this build. In some photos it's hard to tell that it's a model and not the real thing. David G. 1
Chinacar Posted November 17, 2024 Posted November 17, 2024 I may have to give you a Shelby Design Award for this one...;) 1

Brudda Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Hello Paul. Are you having clearance problems with the front hood clearing the engine? I had a chat with Chris Smith and he told me there was an interference issue with the front end with the engine. I’m also starting one and had this warning. I’m lucky because the problem starts with the very first assembly of the engine. Motor mounts with the frame etc. if there is interference, by how much? And how are you going to fix the issue. MFH kits are a pain with fit problems.
