Aren’t those wheels great?

I do really like the wheels but they are difficult to do mockups with.:)

Final stance for the 356B.  Looks a little wonky because the wheels don't want to stay on.:)

With the rear suspension lowered the axles become too short so I replaced them with styrene rod.

The B mocked up with Mercedes Rudge wheels, working on a Porsche Rudge wheel - stay tuned.

Stance on the A, not using these wheels but they make mocking up easier.

Removed the body trim on the door sill

Stance on both cars look very good. Doing these mock ups at the very first stage is the way I also do it. You miss on that and the build is ruined.

Always a pleasure to follow your build process. Thanks for sharing it.

Thanks Pierre and I agree stance and wheel/tire combination is critical to a successful build.

Had a junk 911 engine in the parts box so I though I would take a shot at converting it to a flat four.  Turned out okay so I will toss it in some paint stripper.

I'll be using the kit wheels on the A.  I stripped the chrome finish and will paint them silver.

My painted wheel on the left (Tamiya TS-30 Silver Leaf) with a wash of black Tamiya Panel Line Accent on the inner rim.

Kit finish on the right.

Finished A wheels.  Not using the baby moons but they look good with the contrast of the painted wheel.

I have never used Tamiya leaf, but it’s a really convincing finish!  Is this the rattlecan version or something airbrushed?

I really enjoy your projects, and this one’s no exception - clean, methodical building and plenty to learn from your work ??

Thanks Jim.  It was TS-30 straight out of the can.  The best silver paint I have found - zero grain.
