ewetwo Posted August 27, 2023 Posted August 27, 2023 Different wheels from the Revell 1957 Chevy Belair Snaptite. I think the switch in wheels make a difference. 5
espo Posted August 27, 2023 Posted August 27, 2023 Great looking paint finish and color, not usually seen on a Corvette. Goes well with the white interior.
ewetwo Posted August 27, 2023 Author Posted August 27, 2023 Thank you David. It's a Revell Snaptite kit. The purple is the color of the plastic with a coat of Pledge Revive It. I did the same with the 1957 Belair. And I'm working on the Hot Wheels Camaro from Ollie's which is a blue metallic plastic and we'll see how that looks soon. 1

Any thought of detailing the foe vents on the hood?
karbuildr Posted August 27, 2023 Posted August 27, 2023 Very nice, snap kits are really nice these days, some are quite detailed. I like the wheel change, gives it a totally different look.

I tried in on a model before with a very diluted black acrylic and it ended up leaving a shadow where I wiped it off. If you look closely you'll see what I mean. Much more noticeable in real life.

I've built both these snap kits, great slump busters. Now you've got me thinking about a wheel swap since I have two more in the stash. I agree your wheel swap made both cars looks much better.
XYHARRY Posted August 28, 2023 Posted August 28, 2023 Wow, looks awesome with those wheels and colour combo. Your 57 also looks great with that killer stance. Well done on both David. Cheers, David. ??
Koellefornia Kid Posted August 29, 2023 Posted August 29, 2023 Yes, sir, a wheel switch does make a difference! Looks much better like that!
ewetwo Posted August 30, 2023 Author Posted August 30, 2023 Thank you Oliver and EMRE. It’s the Revell Snap kit.
slusher Posted August 31, 2023 Posted August 31, 2023 Great looking Corvette, that was a nice touch changing the wheels!
ATHU Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 Those wheels fit the car perfectly, nice build!!
