customsrus Posted August 30, 2023 Posted August 30, 2023 This started out as a glue bomb and was missing pieces. This was built by my father years ago so I had to try to make something from it. I started by adding the top from a c4 corvette and reducing the size of the rear window. Interior is also from the corvette that I converted into a 4 seater. Dash, seats and door panels are modified corvette parts. Grille is scratched built. Still a bit to do before it’s finished. 4

Rattlecan Dan Posted August 31, 2023 Posted August 31, 2023 Long, low, and swoopy. Very customized "show car" look. Nice work.
Dirty Gringo Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 Wow this is a cool custom will be following for more updates
customsrus Posted September 1, 2023 Author Posted September 1, 2023 (edited) Here is the chassis. Made from sheet plastic. It will have some detail such as gas tank, lower engine, and radiator. The suspension was out of the parts bin but it is from a c-6 corvette. More to come, hopefully. Edited September 1, 2023 by customsrus Added text 2
MeatMan Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 Interesting and wild departure from the original!
ea0863 Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 You could leave it exactly as it is, and I would still LOVE it! What a great silhouette it has. ?

customsrus Posted September 4, 2023 Author Posted September 4, 2023 Made 2 different grills. Which do you prefer. 1

Stef Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 Agreed; both are maliciously wicked. The one with fewer teeth looks like a vampire, and the one with more teeth looks like a double evil Bender.
Ace-Garageguy Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 You still have the eye for what looks right. Nice to see talent at work.

slusher Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 Tha second fits a little Bette but I give you props on some really nice work..
David G. Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 The roof and grille mods work well, I can't wait to see more. David G.

Ha ha, true, Flexo is the evil evil Bender, but I was actually thinking of the Futurama episode where Bender turns into an evil car, "The Honking". I'm loving this Futurama, I mean, Futura, restyling so much, I wanna get one and see what I can do with it. Great styling job. This one's a winner, regardless of which grille is chosen. 1
customsrus Posted October 13, 2024 Author Posted October 13, 2024 Finally getting something done 1 1/2 years later. Got the interior and chassis completed and got the body painted. Now have to wait awhile for the paint to gas out so I can finish it up. Thanks for looking.
