I've done that gloss clear over flat once with decent results. Looking to try again to see if I can do better.

Thanks Jeremy! My understanding is that the flat paints lay down smoother than the gloss, and if one is just going to gloss clear over it anyways it shouldn't matter if the color coat is gloss or flat.

Awesome build Craig!  The black looks so good and it is such a clean build.  I am currently working on this kit in Viking blue with white interior.  I will post when finished.
